World Language Club/ Rosetta Stone

posted Oct 19, 2010 11:28 AM by Vista PTO

Thanks for getting the word out for the World Language Club.  Attached below is an enrollment form for anyone who is interested.  More are at the school's front desk.

Another meeting is scheduled Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Vista cafeteria. Enrollments are due Oct. 27.

Remember, this program is available to friends of Vista so if you or your kids want to share it at other groups or organizations, they can all register during our Open Enrollment period and get our group rate of $109 per person!  If you want more information about the program, you can go to http://www.rosettastone.com/  and review the web based version of the program.

Common Questions:
Do I have to go to a meeting to register?  No, you can complete a registration form and return it to the front office along with your payment.  Checks will be payable to Vista Del Sur Traditional School.
Can I use tax donation credit?  Yes, you can fill out a tax donation form along with your registration and submit them together to the office.  Extra forms are in the office and online at Laveen Elem website.
When will the account be active and for how long?  Once registration is complete and payment is processed, the account for our school will go "live" and you will receive an e-mail with your log-in information.  Your will have access to this account for one year from the school's activation date.
Can I learn multiple languages in one year?  You select one language and if you learn all that you want, your account can be deactivated and then activated again with the new language but it's not as simple as self selection.
What is the estimated time to learn one level of a foreign language with the Rosetta Stone tool?  Approximately 60 hours.  Some languages have five levels.
Is there fundraising available for me to get the program at a discount?  Yes, there is someone working on this and has information available at the meetings.  If you are interested, please e-mail me for more info.

Please feel free to forward this enrollment form along to your parents.  Many of your kids may say that they aren't interested; however, many parents will be like me ... creating this opportunity for them!  They will be learning it and loving it ...

Please feel free to send me, or Nathan Cox, our account rep. at Rosetta Stone, an e-mail if you have any questions!

Casey Peterson
